Lesson fees are payable in advance for 6 weeks. You will receive an invoice and a timetable of lessons.

Lesson fees cannot be refunded for illness, or missed, cancelled or forgotten lessons. However, I offer catch up lessons, subject to the receipt of at least two weeks’ prior notice.

What if the teacher is ill?

I will reschedule a missed lesson, in addition to the regular lessons, for the time mutually convenient for both the student and teacher.

will i need my own violin?

Yes. It is essential to have an instrument at home. I will advise what size will be suitable. You should also purchase a violin tuner, shoulder rest (for older students) and rosin.

Should I get a piano or a keyboard?

My own preference is to play the piano, but there are also some good keyboards with sensitive keys. Sometimes the price you are willing to pay helps to make that choice.

Do I need a musical diary?

It is advisable you do have. You can purchase a music practice diary, please ask.
