Any age, normally starting from 5-6 years old.
I teach Tue, Wed and Fr.; Monday and Thursday mornings and afternoons only.
Lesson fees are payable in advance for 6 weeks. You will receive an invoice and a timetable of lessons.
Lesson fees cannot be refunded for illness, or missed, cancelled or forgotten lessons. However, I offer catch up lessons, subject to the receipt of at least two weeks’ prior notice.
I will reschedule a missed lesson, in addition to the regular lessons, for the time mutually convenient for both the student and teacher.
Yes. It is essential to have an instrument at home. I will advise what size will be suitable. You should also purchase a violin tuner, shoulder rest (for older students) and rosin.
My own preference is to play the piano, but there are also some good keyboards with sensitive keys. Sometimes the price you are willing to pay helps to make that choice.
It is advisable you do have. You can purchase a music practice diary, please ask.

All lessons take place at my home, in Burton Joyce .
People accompanying a child will have a choice to stay in the adjoining comfy sitting room or leave a child for the duration of the lesson.
There are good train and bus links to Burton Joyce. It takes 15min by bus/10min by train from the centre of Nottingham and then 15 min walk from the bus/train station.
I can offer exam preparation for all grades. Beginners can do a Prep test with ABRSM. I will advise when they are ready for it.
Yes. Please see my Performance Terms and Conditions.
The number of rehearsals will depend on the following factors: How many times the student has played with the 'live' accompaniment to their pieces before; How fluent and confident they are with their pieces. As an approximate guide, more or less time may be necessary:
Pre-grade assessment 2 x 30 minutes
Grades 1-5 2 x 45 minutes
Grades 6-8 3 x 45 minutes
